200. George Pentecost was born in 1763 in Prince George Co, VA. William Pentecost (1763-1839) served in Buford's detachment, 14th Virginia regiment, at the battle of Waxhaw, South Carolina, 1780, where he lost an arm. He was pensioned under the Act of 1789. In 1848 his widow applied for a pension, which was allowed. He was born in Dinwiddie County, Va.; died in Jackson County, Ga.
