The members of the Holy Family Institute, along with the entire Pauline family, have a deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. We venerate Our Lady in a very special way under the title of Queen of Apostles.

Devotion to Mary as Queen of Apostles is one of the oldest devotions in the Church. The celebration of this feast is held each year, on the first Saturday after the feast of the Ascension.

In their booklet, Devotion to Mary, Queen of Apostles, the Daughters of St. Paul express, beautifully, the meaning of this title : " Mary is Queen of Apostles because she was chosen to be the Mother of Jesus Christ and to give Him to the world; she was made the Apostles' Mother and our own by Our Savior on the cross; she was with the Apostles while awaiting the descent of the Holy Spirit, obtaining for them the abundance of supernatural graces they received on Pentecost."

As Mary remained with the first Apostles, to care for, encourage and pray for them, we know that she is with the Pauline family now. And, as we give her Son, the Word of God, to the modern world, we can count on her special care and intercession to make our apostolic efforts fruitful, for the glory of God and the good of her children on earth.

It is a source of great hope and joy to us in the Holy Family Institute that the " Queen of Apostles " lived out her life on earth as a wife and mother; no different externally, from the other wives and mothers in her village. She lived an ordinary life with extraordinary love and zeal for the glory of God. We, in the Holy Family Institute, strive to imitate Mary's love and zeal for God as we continue to fulfill our duties in our homes and communities.
