The John Hilliards came on the Ark and Dove Expedition from Somerset County, England to Somerset County, Maryland. A descendant, William Hilliard, married Mary Daniel about 1808-10 and came to Hilliard's CrossRoads, Pike County, Alabama, in 1851. Their descendants are named. Published in April, 1966. $4.00. 3. McLure 2 pages of outline of the Hamil family. Many names and a few dates. Published in Jan. 1968. $4.00 for both. 2. The Fannin - Fanning Families, Early Settlers of Southeast Alabama by Charles Bunyan Smith 16 pages. This account of the Fannin Family was read by Dr. Smith at the Historical Society meeting in Oct. 1967. It starts with the family's coming to Americafrom Ireland and finally to southeast Alabama.
